20 Years of the best of African Publishing from a Single Source of Supply. African Books Collective, founded, owned and governed by African publishers, seeks to strengthen indigenous African publishing through collective action and to increase the visibility and accessibility of the wealth of African scholarship and culture.
"Unjust Praise," by San Diego, is featured in the September 1, Poem-A-Day series from the Academy of American Poets. The poem appears in the collection Who Needs a Story. House of Falling Women, Not Without Flowers and The Uncertainty of Hope have all been shortlisted for the 2010 Aidoo-Snyder Book Prize, which will be awarded at the African Studies Association meeting in November.
