Children in Our Midst

For many years farmworkers in Zimbabwe have been a marginalised and neglected community. Little has been known about what they think about their lives and their place in society - even more true of their children. This beautifully produced and illustrated book, co- published with Save the Children, will enrich understanding and sharpen perspective on a range of issues that concern farmworkers' children. The book exposes the themes of childhood and their perceptions of culture and family, health and welfare, education, the farm and the wider world. With a freshness, innocence and integrity unique to the young, they tell us directly about their lives and give us their opinions based on real experience.
