A Tree's Story

Blessing Musariri

Inspired by Paulo Coehlo’s popular allegorical tale The Alchemist, this is a delightful and imaginatively illustrated story of a little acacia tress that finds itself in a cold blustery garden in Switzerland. Unable to bear the icy cold weather, the tree begs help from the personified northern wind, which carries him on a long and eventful journey back to southern Africa. Crossing deserts, seas and equatorial climates, the tree finally reaches the savannah plains of his belonging.
