About the Author

Philemon A.K. Mushi

Prof. Mushi holds; B.Ed. (Hons), M.A. (Ed.) and Ph.D. and is currently the first and founder Principal of the Mkwawa University College of Education (MUCE), a Constituent College of the University of Dar es Salaam. He has served in various capacities at the University of Dar es Salaam: as Associate Dean (Academic), Faculty of Education (1993-1994); Head, Department of Adult Education and Extension Services (1997-2000); Chief Coordinator, University of Dar es Salaam Teaching and Learning Improvement Programme (UTLIP); and Director, Post-Graduate Studies between 2000 and 2003.
