The Caves of Nazimbuli

by Steve Chimombo

The Caves of Nazimbuli is a retelling of a popular folkstory about two sisters who went in search of children hidden in magic pots by the spirits. Under the guidance the friendly creatures, one sister, who was polite, chooses a beautiful child for herself. The other, who was rude to the creatures, gets an ugly child as punishment. Both sisters return home to look after their new children.

This book is the second in the series of popular folkstories retold by the author for the modern reader. The others are Operation Kalulu, Child of Clay, and The Bird Boy's Song.
