Shirley Cathy Byakutaaga is a linguist, who conducts ‘cross-cultural orientation sessions’ for development workers in Africa coming from the Northern countries. She was previously a senior lecturer at the Institute of Languages, Makerere University, and has done research on the interplay between Ugandan, European and American cultures.
