About the Author

Collins C. Okpanum

Dr Collins C. Okpanum obtained his LL.B (Hons) Degree from the Faculty of Law, University of Jos, in 1992, with Second Class Honours (Upper Division), winning several academic prizes, including the coveted Best Student Prize in Jurisprudence and Legal Theory. He was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1993. He then obtained LL M Degrees from the Faculty of Law, University of Saskatchewan, Canada, in 2003 and the Faculty of Law, University of Lagos, Nigeria, in 1997 and a Ph.D. from the Faculty of Law, University of Tasmania. Australia, in 2007, specializing in Corporate Commercial Law, with Intellectual Property Law. He retured to Nigeria the same year to re-join private law practice at Templars, as a Partner. He left for the banking industry in 2010, from where he has now returned to private legal practice and legal consultancy after more than a decade
