Romeela Mohee
Professor Romeela Mohee is the Vice- Chancellor of the University of Mauritius. She holds an Engineering degree in Energy and Environment from La Grande Ecole d’ingénieurs, Institut National des Sciences Appliquées Lyon, France and a PhD from the University of Mauritius (which was awarded in collaboration with the Clemson University in the United States of America under a Fulbright scholarship in 1996). Professor Mohee has 25 years of academic experience as a Professor and Head of Department in the field of Chemical and Environmental Engineering, as well as Dean of the Faculty of Engineering. She is a fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry in the United Kingdom and has been invited several times as key speaker at international workshops and conferences. She was highly involved in the Rio +20 Conference preparatory meeting for Africa.
