Joseph Ajale Ekane

Joseph Ajale Ekane was born in Mwaku village, Bangem Sub-division, in 1938 to Sangu Abel Ekane Ebah and Nyangu Lydia Mesode. He started primary education in vernacular school, Mwaku in 1945 and continued to Basel Mission Schools of Mwebah and Nyasoso where he obtained the First School Leaving Certificate. He attended Basel Mission Teacher Training Centre Batibo, Bamenda where he obtained Teachers' Grade III & II Certificates. He attended CCAST Bambili where he obtained GCE Ordinary and Advanced Levels. He next attended Ecole Normal Superieure Annex, Bambili, where he obtained a CAPCEG Certificate. He taught at Bilingual Grammar School (Lycée Bilingue) Molyko, Buea, and was transferred to GHS Limbe, where he served first as Senior Discipline Master and finally as Vice Principal. A married father of six, he retired from the Cameroon public service in December 1994.
