Mahesse Kolé

Mahesse KOLÉ is a lecturer and researcher in Communication Sciences at Alassane Ouattara University, Bouaké, Côte d’Ivoire. She is sensitive to anthropological issues in the Ivorian cultural industries: gender, cultural mediation, transmission and circulation of knowledge, construction of subcultures. Her recent research is part of a socio-anthropology of communities, professions (communication in particular) and the logics that are constructed within them. Her current research, in the world of music, focuses on Coupé-Décalé, an Ivorian urban music.
