Otete Cecilia Okobiah
Professor Otete Cecilia Okobiah obtained B.Sc. (Biology), M.Sc.(Rehabilitation Counselling) degrees, both in USA and Ph.D.(Guidance and Counselling), University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN). At the Delta State University (DELSU), she held various positions: Head of Educational Psychology & Counselling Psychology Departments, Director, Pre-degree Programme, Institute of Education & External Degrees Programme; Provost, Faculty of Law, Oleh Campus and Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Admin). Otete Okobiah was the Vice-Chancellor, Western Delta University, Oghara, Delta State. She is a member of various professional bodies, was National President of the Counselling Association of Nigeria (CASSON), member and Fellow of the Association of Professional Counselling of Nigeria (APROCON and State Chairperson of the Forum For African Women Educationalists (FAWEng). Professor Okobiah has retired from the University service.
