Pascal Touoyem
Pascal TOUOYEM holds a Doctorate in Philosophy obtained at the Tilburg University in the Netherlands, under the co-supervision of Professors Wim van Binsbergen and Wouter van Beck. He is a Cameroonian philosopher and anthropologist whose research and teaching practice at various African universities are focused on Peace & Development Studies, Intercultural & Human Rights Philosophy and African Studies. The Tilburg graduate is a member of the Reference Group on Security and Governance in Africa coordinated by the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) in Sweden. He has also headed the Ecumenical Service for Peace and Dialogue magazine & Reconciliation (non-governmental organisation supported by fifteen financial agreements from bilateral and multilateral donors) for the past seven years. The author currently oversees the Centre for Development and Human Rights (CIPAD), a non-governmental organisation that holds Special Consultative Status with the United Nations.
